Our story

Marble’s mission is to enable fintechs and financial institutions to make better decisions and eliminate financial crime.

We address the needs of fintech companies (neobanks, BaaS, PSP, lending, crypto…) and traditional institutions.

Legacy fraud and AML fighting tools are becoming irrelevant with the rise of real time payments, multi-platform customer journeys and generative AI. Our team has set out to define a new standard to let risk teams iterate faster than ever and assess not only transactions but any event in realtime!

Founded in 2023 by Arnaud Schwartz (former COO of Shine) and Pascal Delange (Director of Engineering at Shine) with the support of Camille Tyan and eFounders, Marble is an early-stage start-up creating groundbreaking solutions to solve complex frauds.

The genesis of Marble…

Until now, banks relied on in-house and cumbersome rule engines to fight fraud. It worked decently in an age when payments took days to complete and banks required customers to show up at the counter for sensitive operations but this has come to an end. New fintechs and banks are now letting customers manage their accounts from their mobile apps and roll out instant payment features, lowering friction as much as they can, but also making fraud a burning topic and exacerbating the need for adaptable and real-time fraud and compliance solutions.

What we do…

In a nutshell, we’re building a complete stack to fight fraud :

• Groundbreaking solutions for banks and fintechs to fight fraud, using tightly controlled data sharing between participants in the network to make it really hard for fraud to scale
• A no-code, open-source rule builder and decision engine: an easy to use interface lets risk teams roll out new monitoring rules without relying on engineers, to make real-time decisions on any sort of event, leveraging all internal data available

Where we are right now…

Marble was created within eFounders, the startup studio behind Front, Aircall, Spendesk, and Swan, in March 2023.

As a small and ambitious team, we have released our open-source decision engine in February 2024 are the first set of customers are using it in production.

We are also releasing our unique solution to help banks fight “authorized push payment” transfer fraud, our most exciting endeavor to date which will be a game changer in the fight against fraud in the near future !
